Surrounded by the Western Rockies of Colorado
and located near the Utah border,
Grand Junction is the largest center between Denver
and Salt Lake City. While
the city is situated amidst the mountains, it boasts mild temperatures throughout
the year. Numerous vineyards and wineries operate in the surrounding countryside,
making Grand Junction an excellent place to sample new wines and tour the facilities.
Fans of the outdoors often visit the nearby Colorado
National Monument to mountain bike, camp, hike, explore canyons and rock climb.
